Delaware is one of only a few states with laws in place to foster and protect bicycle use. Persons on bicycles have rights and responsibilities just like any other vehicle on Delaware roadways.
It is important to anticipate potential conflicts and hazards involving cyclists. They operate with significantly less mass and are especially vulnerable when sharing the road with motor vehicles.
