Delaware drivers can save up to 15% on the liability and personal injury protection (PIP) portions of their auto insurance premium by completing an approved Delaware Defensive Driving course.
Under Delaware Insurance Regulation 607, the Defensive Driving discount applies to the premiums for:
• Bodily injury liability
• Property damage liability
• Personal injury protection (PIP)
How Much Is the Delaware Defensive Driving Discount?
The amount of the discount depends on the course you qualify for:
• If you are taking Delaware Defensive Driving for the first time, the Basic Course provides a 10% discount.
• If you qualify for the Advanced/Refresher Course, the discount is 15%.
