Question: Can it be legal to lane change across a solid yellow line?

Normally a lane change across a solid yellow pavement line marking would result in an illegal/hazardous driving condition. However, as seen in the picture above, a lane change across a solid yellow pavement line marking is a required legal maneuver when the left turn lane is a shared center Lane.

Answer: YES!
